Consultation Style - What can you expect

I will listen carefully, examine appropriately and tell you what I think kindly but directly and explicitly with no jargon. I tend to write a list of possible diagnoses for patients assessing the likelihood of each diagnosis, and explaining how  tests can differentiate between the different possibilities. We then discuss how far you want to go to establish a diagnosis. You are welcome to record the consultation.

In medicine there is often a choice between doing more tests or accepting  a degree of uncertainty and trying  a treatment.  What people choose to do depends on their personality, previous experience and time of life.  My role is to set out the options and help you implement the best solution to your problems.
